Original artwork made using old, weathered, ripped Billboard posters taken from the fabric of the city.
These scraps of paper are cut, stitched and formed into images of the city by Zoe Gibbons on her 50 year old sewing machine.
The Bearpit is the nickname of the St James Barton roundabout underpass in the centre of Bristol, with notoriety for homeless drinking hangout, graffiti and autonomous anti-corporation billboards. In the last few years there has been the drive to make it an oasis in the city centre with a focus on food, edible gardens and community. More recently again it has been whitewashed and scrubbed 'clean' erasing some of the history and graffiti that gave it character.
Price includes frame.
